How long have you been in business?
The Rivett Family has been in the event planning/catering business for over 25 years. The Carriage House has been open since 1992.
Do I have to make an appointment to see the facility?
Yes. You must schedule an appointment to view the facility. It is shown by appointment only. The gates are not always open and you need to reserve a time so that the coordinator can give you a tour and answer any questions you may have.
Are you the only caterer allowed at The Carriage House?
Yes. We provide catering for all events held at The Carriage House.
Do you provide all alcoholic beverages onsite or can we bring our own?
The Carriage House is required to provide all alcoholic beverages served onsite and all beverages are served by our staff. No outside alcohol is allowed.
Are children included in our price per person and do we have to include other wedding vendors in our count?
Children under 7 are not included in your price per person however you should include your wedding vendors as well as your bridal party.
Do we have to use your baker for our wedding cake?
You may use any licensed baker to do your wedding cake however the wedding cake is included in the price per person for our packages.
When should I book my date?
As soon as you have decided on a date and that The Carriage House is the facility for you. Most couples plan 9-18 months in advance and the most popular months for weddings at The Carriage House are March , April, May, June, October, November and December. Saturday nights are the most popular time, followed by Saturday during the day and then Friday nights.
Is there a deposit required to hold the date? Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. A 25% retainer is required to reserve the date and time of your event. This is calculated on the total amount of your contract. In order to officially reserve the date and time of your event you must sign a contract and provide a 25% retainer.
When is final payment and head count due?
The final payment of your contract is due 3 weeks prior to your event. However, increase of or final headcount and payment increase is due 10 days prior to the date of your event.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
All retainers are non-refundable however they are transferable for the original lessee once within 12 months of the original date.
